That same kind of overnight drop just hit ChatGPT Reddit citations, and plenty of marketers are treating it like a fire alarm. My read is that it’s closer to a weather report. The short version fits in a few sentences. Reddit’s share of ChatGPT Search citations fell about 86% in mid-August, and nobody outside OpenAI has confirmed why.
